“The Colorado Trail is a 500 mile hike from Denver to Durango, across the high mountains of the state. Staying above 10,000 feet for the majority of the trail, it is known for its incredible views, difficult thunder storms, and steep climbs. In the Spring there are endless wildflowers, and wildlife. We started our hike July 13th and hoped this trail would be smooth sailing... unfortunately it wasn't!” -JupiterHikes via YouTube

Tidbits

Ryan Hall’s Half Marathon Record Fall: A frigid day in Houston remarkably led to records falling and exciting races. Watch the recap below.

✅Coffee + Runners: Honestly, coffee + runners go together like fish + water. Fish can’t survive without water, and runners can’t survive without coffee (and water…we guess). Now, run clubs and coffee shops are collabing. We love it.

✅Long-Distance Skating: Don’t ask us why we’ve been in what we’re calling our ‘Wild Ice Skating Era’ - but here’s another post that feeds that. So pretty - and 10x better than some random indoor ice skating rink.

✅New Bucket List Adventure: Hut-to-hut hiking systems are really common in Europe; essentially, little cabins at which to rest your head between long day hikes, usually a looped or point-to-point system. This eliminates the need for camping equipment - lightening your pack for sure. Now that same style hiking system is coming to the Western United States.

✅(un)Lazy River: You know the guy - the annoying one that acts like the hotel gym is his personal workout space. This takes that faux pas to a totally other level. Would you swim laps in the lazy river? Is this considered open water swim practice?

🏃Job Recs

Performance Of The Week(end): Weini Kelati with American record, 1:06:09
