The above documentary follows Sally McRae, as she prepares to tackle 240 miles in Moab, Utah. It takes an incredible amount of preparation not only physically, but mentally and logistically as well. Much like raising kids, raising a (successful) ultramarathoner takes a village; and Sally weighs in on the team that helps make it happen for her.

Funny Vid of the Week:
Sports Bits At-Large:
Now, the Super Bowl is a whole spectacle. But when the first Super Bowl took place, the film from the televised game wasnât archived properly. Now, there is only 1 known privately-owned copy of the game; and it canât even be sold.
Pro Sports are HUGE in Las Vegas. But now, the residents and tax payers are demanding assistance for public infrastructure, education and other public resources.
The dark side of the Super Bowl. Human trafficking during major sporting events, like the Super Bowl, is unfortunately; a massive human rights issue. Donât stick your head in sand; get educated about human trafficking and know how to spot it, prevent it, and support the individuals that are working on recovery from being trafficked.
Tidbits
Psychology plays a powerful part in how you perform each day at your job, in sport, and as a partner, parent, family member, etc. You might be working on the big things; having a positive attitude, trying to be a stronger communicator, etc., but did you know even the littlest of things, like the color of your water bottle, matter?
â Being Scrappy: If youâre not an independently wealthy triathlete; showing up to races might make you feel a bit like a fish out of gold-plated water. Just know; this sport wasnât created to put you into debt, or make you second mortgage your house. Enjoy the ride, with the gear you have; the gear doesnât make the athlete.
â Thatâs HR, Baby: Heart Rate Training (HRT) used to be all the rage. The black bands around skinny male chests might not be returning, but scientifically analyzing fatigue during periods of being active, as well as during recovery, via heart rate, IS making a comeback. Weâre here for it.
â New CEO for IM: Scott DeRue, former President of the luxury gym club Equinox, was just announced as the newest CEO for IRONMAN, back filling the vacant role when Andrew Messick announced his retirement.
